Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.
Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
Students can unleash their creative flair through dance and drama performances, competitions, exhibitions and enrichment programs. Students with particular interests and talents can participate in local and statewide activities in visual arts, music, dance and drama.
The drama club will began on Friday the 3rd of March, during the first half of lunch in the school hall. The drama club is lead by Mrs. Tran, with the assistance of Mrs. Porteous who has extensive experience in the dramatic arts. It is an opportunity for students to learn valuable skills about theatre games and the drama club builds the confidence of the students that are involved. Students play and engage in a variety of theatre sport activities and develop new dramatic skills each week. It will be a Kindergarten to Year 6 club and there are twenty Year 3 to 6 students and twenty Kindergarten to Year 2 students. The Year 3 to 6 drama club meet on odd weeks at Friday first half of lunch and Kindergarten to Year 2 meet every even week at Friday first half of lunch in the school hall.
