What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

We offer a variety of fresh fruit, yoghurt, healthy snacks and lots more delicious food selections.  Please see our menu below for all food options.  If you are placing a lunch order, paper bags are available at no charge, outdide the canteen.

Should parents have any children who have a food allergy and would like a service or food recommendation, please do not hesitate to come and see me at the canteen.

Opening hours

The canteen opening hours are as follows:

  • Monday–Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm

Staff

The Made Fresh Managers are Maria and Panos, however, My Chau will be in the canteen to serve our community on a day to day basis.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.

Learn more about the NSW Department of Education’s School Uniform Policy.

At Canterbury South Public School we believe that wearing the school uniform is an honour and an expression of pride in our school.

Uniforms are available to purchase from Ranier Schoolwear via their website https://shop.ranier.com.au.  Parents will need to register in order to purchase via the online store.  Ranier Schoolwear also have a shop located at 6/133 The River Rd, Revesby NSW 2212.

Coffee and chat

Coffee and chats are informal gatherings that take place twice each term on the Friday of Week 4 and Week 8 from 10:15am to 11:15am. Coffee and chats are an invitation for parents to share morning tea with the school principal and sometimes other staff members.

Coffee and chats are a great way to find out about what is happening in classrooms and at the school. It's also an opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification. Coffee and chats are a lovely way to network with other parents and to get involved in conversations about curriculum and school projects. Some coffee and chats have important agendas attached others are simply informal opportunities to catch up.
